The country's most famous gastronomic route is back!


The Matosinhos local authority is preparing another edition of the prestigious Rally Fish Gastronomic Route, which is celebrating its 13th edition this year. The event, known for celebrating the region's rich fishing tradition, promises to offer an unforgettable gastronomic journey between the 8th and 27th of October.


The Fish Rally consists of a snack and a drink for €3.50 and there are several rallies that you can take part in throughout the municipality of Matosinhos. In each of the participating restaurants you will be entitled to a sticker to complete your brochure and consequently win prizes!


The 13th edition will feature over 60 restaurants, each offering fish/seafood or vegetarian dishes, combining tradition and culinary innovation. The public will be able to sample delicious snacks, from fresh octopus and squid appetizers, ceviches and carpaccios, to hearty fish soups, as well as vegetarian seitans and profiteroles, and not forgetting the traditional codfish fritters and fritters.

The Rally Fish Gastronomic Route is an annual event that celebrates the fishing tradition of the city of Matosinhos, bringing together local restaurants in a friendly competition to win the prize for the best snack!


Created to promote local gastronomy and culture, the event attracts visitors from all over the country and abroad, consolidating the city as one of the biggest gastronomic destinations in Portugal.
