PORTO SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA CASA DA MÚSICA
The famous polka Winter Wish and the music for the film The Blizzard set the tone for two Christmas tales with music by Rimski-Korsakoff. The stories of Christmas Eve and the snow girl who melts when she discovers love are well known to the public. They will be told in the now traditional Christmas concerts at Casa da Música, which in 2024 will feature the Portuguese debut of Delyana Lazarova, the Bulgarian conductor who launched an international career after winning the Siemens Hallé Conducting Competition and the James Conlon Award at the Aspen Festival.
